First Engagement Shoot of 2018.

Last weekend I took a trip down to Barnsley for the first engagement shoot of the year. In contrast to my last one in Harrogate which involved a good bit of snow, ice, and near leg-breaking incidents, we managed to get ourselves a great bit of evening sunshine to play around with. I say great, the blood-thirsty flying insects had me doing a badly timed 'whack-a-mole' on myself, which is never a good look during a shoot!

After having a catch-up with Jessica & Adam they brought along their lovable dog, Taz, for a walk along the woodland for some photos. I didn't take me long to realise that Taz has an incredible ability to 'play' with the photographer! Posing for the camera until I was ready to click before he was shimmying clockwise to hide his face. Repeat this ten times over, then, out of nowhere came an incredible human-like smile that had me laughing for most of the evening! There's a perfectly timed group photo (included below) that shows this off perfectly.

Taz was involved in most of the shoot, but we did manage to sneak a few minutes to capture some images of Jessica & Adam alone, whilst Taz patiently looked on awaiting his turn again.

In just a few months I'll be joining Jessica & Adam for their wedding at Wood Hall Hotel, a perfect setting in the heart of Yorkshire with great views (especially if we're lucky enough for a clear sky!). I always enjoy shooting here and look forward to capturing some great memories for Jessica & Adam. In the meantime, I've left some of my favourite images from the weekend below.
