Fiona & Adam | Engagement Shoot | The Hawkhills

The reason I love The Hawkhills so much is because of the incredible variety of colours and textures throughout its grounds. From the stunning building and lawns through to the surrounding nature and walled garden, there’s so much within such a short walk, it’s the perfect place for peace, quiet and of course, an engagement shoot.

I met Fiona and Adam at the weekend for their first photography session with me ahead of their wedding next year at The Hawkhills, which is a great opportunity to get to know each other and find out more about how comfortable they are in front of the camera.

It’s quite normal to feel nervous in front of the camera but it didn’t take long for Fiona and Adam to get used to me being there. Most of my photography is shot candidly so this is the most ‘posed’ I’ll tend to shoot, but it usually helps to prepare my couples for the big day ahead, especially when I can blend in to the background to capture things as they happen!

If you’re wondering how an engagement shoot might help you on your big day then feel free to get in touch, I’d love to hear from you! In the meantime, here are a few of my favourite shots.
