Fiona & Adam | Wedding Day | The Hawkhills
I’ve been waiting patiently to shoot my first wedding here at The Hawkhills. I’ve spent so much time with Kasia and Sophie, who are wedding coordinators at the venue, over the last year or two that I’ve come to know the venue and the team extremely well, that the only thing left was to shoot a real-life wedding here.
I was so pleased to have been given the responsibility to shoot the wedding of Fiona & Adam. I first met them at a wedding showcase that was being held at the venue quite some time ago, from then it was clear that they both had some great ideas, including archery - provided courtesy of Focusing Events - for their guests to take advantage of from their reception. If you’re reading this and wondering how to entertain your guests, then trust me, this is a great service to book in for your big day!
Fiona & Adam took advantage of my complimentary engagement shoot, where we took time to explore the spectacular grounds at The Hawkhills. In fact, the grounds is one of my favourite features of this venue. I’ve taken many a wander down to the Walled Garden just to spend some time to appreciate some peaceful tranquility, which I have to admit, is something I find hard to get these days. If you’re ever in the area, pop by for a drink and experience it for yourself, you won’t regret it.
It seems it wasn’t just me who was taken by the beauty of the gardens, because Fiona & Adam made plans to have their ceremony outside - yes, a definite risk, if this Summer is anything to go by - but their luck was with them on the big day and Fiona was able to walk down the aisle, ducking between the trees, to meet Adam who was patiently waiting at the end.
I feel incredibly honoured to have shared Fiona & Adam’s day, and I’m pleased to include a selection of my favourite photos below.
