Amy & Joel | Wedding Day | Aldwark Manor
I’m back to where I’m most comfortable in Yorkshire, joining Amy & Joel at Aldwark Manor for their wedding day. After a lot of planning and preparation, their big day was finally here, and although the weather outlook wasn’t ideal, nothing was going to dampen their spirits.
I popped up to find Amy and her bridesmaids perfecting their hair and makeup before being joined by an excited little Grace, whom, I was assured, would be trying to get in to every photo! Well, I wasn’t to be disappointed. Grace took every opportunity to pose for the camera, an absolute natural who gave me the difficult job of trying to pick the best ready for the edit.
I joined a cool and calm Joel and his groomsmen in the Squadron Bar for a few snaps before the ceremony, and took the opportunity to capture some shots of the lovely, personalised hand crafted wooden welcome and table plan signs that were being prepared for the day.
There’s nothing quite like having a few personal touches, another in particular was the handmade, silk bouquets of flowers chosen by Amy. A different and unique touch that looked incredible making it a perfect alternative choice.
Grace and Aria lead the way down the aisle, carefully dropping petals as they walked, before a visibly joyous Amy and her Dad followed in joining a patiently awaiting Joel ready for their vows.
We had some weather related challenges ahead, all of which were managed without stress and it’s a credit to Amy and Joel for their approach making their wedding an absolute joy to photograph. We focussed on capturing the laughs, smiles and cries of family and friends to bring out the best of their day, and in to their evening.
There’s so much I enjoyed about this wedding, so I’ll let the photos do the talking below.
