Zoe & Sean | Pre-Wedding Shoot | Spofforth
It's one of the hottest days of the year so far, but that certainly wasn't the case last weekend when I met Zoe and Sean for their pre-wedding photoshoot at Spofforth Castle.
I first met Zoe and Sean at a wedding a few years back and we've managed to bump in to each other at various wedding venues ever since. In fact, the last wedding I shot I managed to capture a sneaky photo of what appears to be Sean being told off (although we'll never know the truth!). Maybe you can be the judge...
Thankfully, Zoe and Sean decided their wedding would still go ahead, and I'm so pleased to have been invited to photograph their big day. Of course, how could I say no?
So, with umbrellas at the ready, and an uncertain forecast ahead, we headed in to the ruins of Spofforth Castle. It's open to the public, so we expected to bump in to one or two people. What we didn't expect, though, was a full family running around playing hide and seek, randomly jumping out at each other. Ourselves included!
The old stone colours were great alone, but were well matched for Zoe and Seans' outfits (as you can see). In fact, these photos wouldn't look out of place in a catalogue or magazine, although attributed fairly to the quiet confidence both have in front of the camera.
Embarrassingly, though, whilst I'm only 5ft 8", Sean is about 8ft 4". I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I had to get on to "higher ground" to capture some pictures, which I'm hoping he can forgive in time for the wedding day.
For now, I've posted a few of my favourite shots below, and I can't wait to see them both at Sandburn Hall in August. It's a favourite venue of mine, and I'm excited to continue capturing great memories for them both.
