Nicola & Daryl | Wedding Day | Aldwark Manor
It's the busy time of year for weddings and writing blogs is just one aspect of being a wedding photographer. With all the planning, preparation, shooting and editing to do it's something that can take a little while to get round to.
When I do manage to dedicate time to writing, I do love the process of sorting through the many photos before selecting my favourites ready for blogging.
It was a particular pleasure to whittle down from Nicola and Daryl's wedding. They chose to marry at Wetherby Methodist Church, but with a little twist. Traditionally, the bride and groom face the church front. Nicola and Daryl wanted to bring something different to their wedding, so chose to marry facing their congregation, instead.
For me, it's a challenge to bring something new and different to each wedding, so it was refreshing to be part of something unique, particularly when it works out well.
Nicola and Daryl didn't stop at their ceremony, it was also nice to see their beautiful selection of flowers, exquisite wedding dress and tasteful choice in their classic wedding car. The one thing that stood out for me, though, was how much of a pleasure it was to spend time with Nicola and Daryl. Both were so calm from the start, right the way through to the end of their photography. I think it's this trait that helped to bring out the best in them, which shows quite considerably in their photos. I particularly love the shots of them both walking down towards the bridge at Aldwark Manor, as well as on the bridge itself, as the sunset lit Nicola's dress perfectly.
I've chosen some of my favourite photos as a small taster ahead of finalising their final wedding gallery, which you can find below.
